| Courtney and I circa 2004! |
A while ago my lovely sister-in-law Courtney, opened up a 3-ring binder to show me a drink recipe someone wrote on a napkin in paris. She had the recipe stashed in this black binder she kept to keep all the recipes she's collected throughout the years all in one place. Instantly that idea sparked in my head, a recipe binder! I bought a colorful 3-ring binder, but also added subject tabs to keep categories under control(happy hour, brunch, dinner, sides, dessert) and also bought a little pocket insert for receipts, and other lose things that can't really be hole punched. This binder now helps me keep my printed or written recipes under control and out of a messy kitchen drawer.
The binder worked so well that I thought of another idea. I made a grocery list/menu clipboard that has magnets glued on the back to help it stick to the fridge. I used spray adhesive to glue some gift wrap to the clipboard and printed up some grocery lists/menus to clip on it. The clipboard is there whenever I have to put together my grocery lists and my meals for the week. Now I use these two so much! It's just that much easier for me to be on top of stuff when everything else around me is chaotic. So here's to you lovely and clever sis-in-law!

I have a recipe binder, too! I love it. Although, right now it needs some attention as there are some recipes that just got crammed in the front and aren't behind their appropriate tabs!
